I can see clear progress with each session and I am getting quicker at observing form/pose and translating this on paper, as I am finding it much easier to work with quick 1 minute sketches.

Steampunk Character Concept
The steampunk character homework we were assigned, I wanted to draw an interesting but simple concept, where you could tell the era the character was coming from, but for the design not to be too overbearing.
Initial Research
Concept sketches
Here are some initial concept sketches that I did. I liked each idea, but I narrowed it down to keeping the character a female rather than a steampunk inspired robot.
Final Design
The final concept art took inspiration from the moodboard for the outfit and hat gear, while I changed the face and tweaked the hair. I am happy with how this turned out, however I feel I could have added more to the outfit such as a robotic steampunk arm, or perhaps even a weapon. I also could have spent more time on the actual outfit, making it look as realistic as possible.
