Shading Classwork

Today in class we practiced on form and shading in Photoshop over this drawing. This was useful as it was good practice and it has helped me know what techniques to incorporate when painting.

3D Modelling Statue Research

Ancient Greek themed statue

I decided to make my statue model based on the ancient Greek statues. I chose this idea because the style and form is very classical and I like the poses that they use.
Considering my  moodboard is full of male statues, I decided to make my statue a female, after the goddess Aphrodite, because it would be more interesting to model. I want to have a dress hanging loosely over her too.

Anatomy: Muscles

Anatomy muscle homework

Used textbook reference of the human body. I found this task quite difficult as I had never drawn the human body in such anatomical detail and muscle structure. This exercise was very useful in making me realize my weak points when drawing humans but also showed me ways in which I can correct myself from now on, each time I draw a new character.

Fish Mutant Concept

Classwork

In class today we had to research some images of scary/deep sea fish and draw a mutant fish concept.

This is what I drew in the 2 hour lesson. I used the face of a piranha/carp with mega sharp teeth.

Skeleton

Our homework exercise this week was to draw the human skeleton and learn/label each bone part. This was also linked with our life drawing lesson. I found it challenging at first, to correctly draw each body part and learn what each one was called, but it was a useful exercise and it has helped me understand human anatomy better, so the next time I draw I will keep in mind where the bones are placed.

Unity Game Progress

The concept of my game has changed over the course of its making. At first, I wanted it to have treasure chests, enemies once you first entered the temple, and ancient artifacts to collect. However to simplify it I decided to simple make it a temple/dungeon type level where similar to puzzle games, you had to put the correct coloured object into its twin "placement."
Examples:
1)The game how it looks generally. Trees were used from the asset store, to give it a more forest/temple type feel.

2) Box Colliders and RigidBody added onto the cubes that would use the Pick-Up script, and then they are to be dropped into their respective colours.

3)Example, the red cube would have to be dropped into this cube - even if it is on the other side of the temple.

4) As you can see here the dropping point for the blue cube is much farther away, but the white cube is right next to it, but you must take it to the white cube placement.
